A poet visits his past in the presence of actress Ioana Flora, to be followed by Q&A.

Spotlight: Romania. 2 returns in November and gives the stage to cinema and music. The festival will unfold every Tuesday evening at DNR with award winning films, exciting documentaries, heartfelt music in live performances, guests and talks, plus the extra-special event “Brancusi Filmed. Brancusi Composed” (silent film, live music).

All films are in Romanian with English subtitles.

Spotlight: Romania takes place every fall in The Hague and brings forward the vibrant and creative contemporary Romania through cinema, photography, music, performative and visual arts.

Ioana Flora is the actress assimilated with the beginning of the New Romanian Wave as she portrayed in perfect femininity and naturalness the character Betty in Stuff and Dough (Cristi Puiu, 2000). As big Ioana Flora fans, we’re thrilled that she has accepted be our guest and curate a short film program with Romanian women directors whose work she admires. Screening followed by talk.

Robert, a published poet and journalist from Bucharest, goes to the village where he was born. In 24 hours, Robert will confront his past, in an outstanding effort to renegotiate his present. Screening in the presence of actress Ioana Flora, to be followed by Q&A.
